Getting to the Club
Please Note: SBYC has no road access. Sailors are transported to and from the club by coach-boats. Pick-Up: between 9:45 and 10:00AM at Knowlton's Landing and Georgeville Dock. Please try to show up early, as multiple loads from each coach-boat are typically needed to get everyone to camp by 10:00AM. Drop-off: between 3:45 and 4:00PM at Knowlton’s Landing and at Georgeville Dock. Please be patient; we have to ensure that all equipment is put away and that the coast is clear in terms of weather before leaving the camp. To board the SBYC tender, sailors must: 1. Be registered for camp. 2. Be wearing an approved Personal Flotation Device (PFD) in good condition. It MUST fit the sailor. 3. Wearing soft-soled and closed-toed shoes, please don't wear flip flops, or crocs. 4. Sailors must be able to swim 30 meters with and without a lifejacket and tread water for a minimum of 2 minutes. |

Routines and Reminders
The primary goal of SBYC is to introduce youngsters to sailing and instil in them an enjoyment for the sport, but sailing is a high risk sport and safety is of highest concern. We therefore reserve the right to suspend any member (junior or senior) who does not respect the code of behaviour established by the club Board and its coaches. We also reserve the right to refuse a junior sailor who is unable to pass the swim test.
Sailing also involves expensive equipment, and SBYC benefits from the generosity of the Fisher family, who hosts the club on private property. Consequently, we insist that junior sailors treat the property, the equipment, and others with respect.

Set-up Day
Every year we ask able bodied men and women to come out and help us to lift all the docks and boats into the water. We rely on SBYC family members to help us open up the camp. Tenders will be giving lifts from Knowlton's Landing and Georgeville dock at 9:00 AM on June 26th, we cannot confirm a time of drop-off but we think that drop-off will be somewhere around 1 PM.
