Dear sailors,
We hope everyone continues to stay well. We understand the frustration of not having a clear picture of what our summer may look like, but trust we are doing everything to offer you a safe and fun sailing program for the summer. We continue to make the health and safety of our sailors and staff our no 1 priority, and ask for your understanding and cooperation.
In order to comply with the COVID-19 government guidelines, and provide a safe and fun summer sailing season, we have made the following changes:

In order to comply with the COVID-19 government guidelines, and provide a safe and fun summer sailing season, we have made the following changes:
- registration will be limited to experienced, autonomous sailors
- each sailor will be assigned to a boat for a minimum of 3 consecutive weeks, and will be responsible for all its equipment and maintenance.
- if 2 sailors reside at the same address, they can share a boat
Registration will only be complete once you have received an email confirming the weeks and boat assigned.
Other changes:
- The program will run Monday to Thursday for all sailors
- Sailors are expected to race in the Sunday race, where they will have the chance to race their coaches
- Sailors will be divided into groups for the season, and will have separate on-land times and areas in order to comply with the 2m physical distance guidelines
- Each sailor must bring a face mask (or BUFF) and hand sanitizer to camp every day –we will be providing each sailor with an SBYC buff this summer instead of a t-shirt
- Camp will be cancelled if we experience bad weather and are unable to accommodate sailors on the water
- Each sailor and their guardian will sign a waiver and COVID-19 protocol agreement, and be expected to follow these guidelines at all times
- If a sailor fails to follow these guidelines, they will not be permitted to return to camp
