Each Thursday through out the summer, Sargent's Bay Yacht Club organizes social activities between campers and coaches. The schedule is listed below along with necessary information about each week. All activities and information below is subject to change one week prior to each activity. SBYC coaches do supervise each activity, however, are not responsible for costs of different activities.

Thursday July 9, 2020
Event: Bowling Location: Salon de Quilles Memphré, 85 Rue Pomerleau, Magog, QC J1X 5P7 Summary: After camp is over, sailors and coaches will head over to the lanes in magog for couple of fun-filled rounds at 5:00PM. $3.25 per round, and $1.50 for shoes; campers should also bring some extra cash if they would like to purchase dinner on location. Pick-Up: 7PM Thursday July 16, 2020 Event: BBQ - Parents Invited! Location: SBYC Summary: This is a new addition to social events at the club- sailors will remain at SBYC after camp ends for fun-filled water and land activities and a barbeque, and parents are welcomed to come get a piece of the fun! There will boats bringing anyone not attending the BBQ back to Georgeville and Knowlton’s Landing at the regular time, and bringing parents back to the club who will be attending the BBQ. Return: Coaches will bring sailors and parents back to Georgville and Knowlton’s Landing at 6-6:30PM. Thursday July 23, 2020 Event: Movie Night Where: City Cinemas- 137 Waterfront Plaza, Newport, VT 05855 Summary: An SBYC classic! Sailors are asked meet at the Wendy’s next to the movie theatre for dinner at 5:45 pm, and then head over the theatre at 6PM to watch one of three movies playing. Pick-Up: This will depend on the length of the movies playing, however we usually count on around 8-9PM. Thursday July 30, 2020 Event: BBQ - Parents Invited! Wednesday August 12-13, 2020 Event: Campout Location: Lord’s Island Summary: Every summer, SBYC’s last week of camp is highlighted by a campout. It begins with a sail from the club to Lord’s Island on Wednesday, where the sailors will put away the boats, unload their baggage, and set up their tents. After settling in, the island’s beautiful land and waterfront is there to be enjoyed, and the day will end with a BBQ and campfire. On the Thursday morning, sailor will pack up and race back to camp where an award ceremony will be held. Important Info: Sailors are required to arrive at either Georgeville or Knowlton’s landing with all of their baggage and food packed on Wednesday morning. They are highly recommended to bring lots of dry clothing for the two days, toiletries, camping equipmenent (arrangements with other sailors is recommended), lunch and dinner for Wednesday, and breakfast and lunch for Thursday. Any medication that the sailors might need can be given to the coaches on Wednesday morning. Pick-Up: Regular time on Thursday. Thursday August 20, 2020 Event: BBQ - Parents Invited!
